Australian Property In Demand Among Singaporeans
Singapore in Demand of Australian Properties!
Chinese capital inflow from China to Australia is slowing down but another player is making up for this: Singapore.
According to an article in the Sydney Morning Herald, Chinese investment in Australia fell 69 percent in the first half of the year compared to last year.
The slowdown follows reports about the Chinese halting their investments in property development. The new rulings have a profound impact on Australia. China has now classified overseas property development and hotels as “restricted.”
However, this will not be slowing down Australian commercial real estate as it’s just as on track for another strong year thanks to other investments. Australians still have many other opportunities.
“Despite the decline in investment from mainland Chinese, Australian property investment volumes are on track for another robust year supported by investors from Singapore, Hong Kong, the US and Germany as well as local institutions such as Dexus and Charter Hall.” Sydney Morning Herald quoted James Quigley, head of capital Markets, Australia and New Zealand for Cushman & Wakefield.
Adding value to your property in Australia?
In case you want to be part of the trend and add value to your property, then there are many things to consider.
- You need to hire the right trade professionals like builders, interior designers, cabinet makers and even plumbers and electricians. This is a major step in ensuring the renovation is as successful and as profitable as possible.
- Understand what needs to be done. Consult your tradies on the current trends and practices that you can apply to add value to your property.
- Do not over-improve. You wouldn’t want to invest a lot of money on something that will not guarantee returns.
